Fundraising and Communications Officer

£22,000-£24,000 (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate fundraiser ready for a new challenge? Sound Seekers is looking for a dynamic Fundraising and Communications Officer to join our small and dedicated team.

Sound Seekers (The Commonwealth Society for the Deaf) is a small international charity based in London working in some of the poorest communities in Africa to support people with hearing loss to realise their rights by enabling access to healthcare and education.

This Fundraising and Communications Officer role is a great opportunity to work for a small international charity on a variety of fundraising streams and support Sound Seekers’ communications activities to promote our work and increase our income. You will be responsible for producing high-quality fundraising proposals for trusts and foundations and coordinating community fundraising, while supporting the Fundraising and Communications Manager in fundraising from all other streams such as institutions, individuals, corporates, events and legacy. You will also support all external communications and create engaging content for raising awareness of our work through social media platforms and marketing. You will have great interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively within a small and dynamic team.
